The event is a fundraiser for our Pride Month 2023 charity partner Girls Rock NC.

Paperhand Puppet Intervention’s mission is to use diverse styles of puppetry and artistic expression to create works that inspire, promote social change and are deeply rewarding for all involved. These styles include: giant puppets, rod puppets, shadow puppetry, masks, stilt dancing and anything under the sky that strikes our fancy.

We will use this puppetry, performance and creativity to undermine and eradicate greed, hate and fear and promote justice, equality and peace. We will work uncompromisingly to these ends.

Dress up to the nines and have a good giggle at the start to the COT’s 2023-24 season with “There’s a Cow on the Roof!” Dedicated to humor in music, this concert takes its name from Darius Milhaud’s Le Boeuf sur le toit (A cow on the roof) and features Young Concert Artist winner, Chaeyoung Park, performing Shostakovich’s sprightly 2nd Piano Concerto. The evening will also feature a silent auction prior to the concert and during intermission, featuring jewelry, antiques, gift cards to local restaurants, and more!

Carolina Ballet is very excited to embark upon a new world-premiere ballet set to the story of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid featuring live music with a new score from composer Aaron Severini. Different from our previously presented Mermaid program, this version will feature brand-new sets and costumes. The production will surely dazzle audiences, and it will appeal to both the first-time attendee and the sophisticated ballet-goer as well.
